"Soloman"

Soloman depicts a character from a biblical tale involving a king who was put to the difficult task of deciding which of two women was the actual mother of a mutually claimed child. Seen here are the child in question and the king with a raised sword with which he threatened to cleave the child in two so as to satisfy both women. The sculpture is carved from sugar maple and measures roughly 3ft high by 2.5ft wide by 2ft deep. This piece resides in Toronto, Ontario.
