Seleneis based on a character from Greek myth. She was a goddess who fell in love with the very selfish mortal, Endemione, who loved himself above all else. Selene used his vanity to trick him into becoming her lover. This sculpture is carved from black walnut wood and measures roughly 18in high by 10in wide by 8in deep.
